email us at email@example.com so we can figure something out and we will find a time that works for you !
4) do i have to be formally trained to audition for signature?
not at all! we are a non competitive group of girls who just like to sing and many of us aren't formally trained.
5) what does a typical audition look like?
For your audition, you will need to prepare 30 seconds of a song of your choice. Choose a song that best shows off your vocal talent and gives us a taste of your personality! We will be able to play a starting note if you need one. After your solo, we will ask you to sing a short collection of random notes (either tonal memory or sight reading—you choose!). We may also have you sing some scales in order to determine your vocal range. Finally, the three or four Sigs in the room with you may ask you a few additional questions if your Audition Form left anything unclear. The whole thing will take no longer than 5 minutes and we assure you that the audition is absolutely nothing to stress about. Just bring a smile and confidence and show us what you’ve got!
6) what is the time commitment of being in signature?
we rehearse twice a week, once for 2 hours and the second time for 3 hours. each quarter, we will perform in about 4-5 gigs which can range from 45 minutes to an hour. besides that, we have fun bonding events every couple weeks. it's not a strenuous commitment, and we always understand that academics are a priority!
